Light
isn't painted,
it's waited for.

Salomé Blandón paints interiors, portraits and still lives where time settles. A body of work made of pause, matter and silence.

Brief manifesto

I work on linen and panel, in slow layers. I'm as interested in the empty room as in the face; the way a single beam of light turns any room into an event. My painting looks for that pause.

«Painting is a way of looking slowly»
